The fluid nature of oil paint allows it to happen!

"Luminous animal portraits, powerful and simple"

Furry or feathered creatures found in groups or those

not easily observed, tend to end up on my canvas.

The annual Sheep Festival in Ketchum, Idaho inspired me to paint. Call them a herd, a flock or a mob...there are over one billion sheep in the world. While a resident there I was awakened by the sweet sound of the herd's padded feet.  Since then, other critters have called out to me for individual attention.
